What Sitges solves

Most of the logistics problems of a destination wedding come down to one thing: where the guests sleep and how they get between places. Sitges solves both. Trains run from Barcelona Sants every twenty minutes, the airport is half an hour by road, and almost everything in town is walkable — which means no coaches, no taxi queues at 2am and no one stranded.

It is also one of the most openly welcoming towns on this coast, with a long history as an LGBTQ+ destination, and that matters to a good number of the couples who write to us.

The settings

• Seafront terraces and hotel gardens with the church silhouette behind your photographs.
• Beach clubs for a welcome dinner the night before, barefoot and loud.
• Private villas in the hills behind the town, ten minutes up and completely quiet.
• The Garraf just along the coast, where the cliffs drop straight into the water.

Two things to plan around

Sitges is a town that celebrates: Carnival in February and the film festival in October fill every hotel room months ahead and change the price of everything. Book your date well before your guests need to book theirs.

The second is noise. Town-centre venues have curfews, which is why so many Sitges weddings move to a villa or a beach club for the late part of the night. We build that handover into the timeline so it feels like a second act, not an eviction.
